MINDFULNESS

Classical Pilates & Yoga are complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit. Through mind body exercises you first purposefully acquire complete control of your own body and then through proper repetition of its exercises you gradually and progressively acquire that natural rhythm and coordination associated with all your subconscious activities. This true rhythm and control are observed both in domestic pets and wild animals - without known exceptions.

MOVEMENT PATTERNS

As humans, we learn to move and explore our environment from the time we are born. We have a developmental sequence of movement patterns that naturally develop to support more complex movements and abilities.

FUNCTIONAL TRAINING

When we use the word function, we are saying that something has a purpose. So when we apply that term to training “move well and then move often” we are talking about purposeful training to move well and then be consistent.

Kara Vaughan - Teacher, research student and aspirational rock climber

"Rehabilitation to athletic performance in just one year. In January 2020 I was recovering from a broken leg. Leo replaced the role of aphysiotherapist with a holistic approach to educating my mind and engaging my whole body. Using a mixed approach that includes Pilates, mobility, bodyweight and cardio. A year later my goals are driven by desire to improve my function, strength and power for my sport. Thanks to Leo’s approach, I understand how to look after my body with performance, massage and rest to get the most out of feeling good for work, study and play. Thanks Leo I know you always have my back on the good days and sluggish ones."
